Late model airhead just posted. 64k miles which is about right for its vintage and looks like it was mostly ridden on the road and well cared for. Comes with tank bag, panniers, and perhaps and aftermarket rear shock? For sale in Cloverdale on Craigslist.
BMW R100S - $5,500
Built riding after the Daytona winning R90S and with some of the best heads made for an airhead, so theoretically the best to make power with. Decent paint and comes with bags and recent tune up. For sale in Sebastopol on Craigslist.
1995 BMW K75RT - $4,500
Last year of the RT with the better 750 engine. Extremely low miles with one drop noted by the seller and the replacement mirror needs paint. For sale in San Carlos on Craigslist.

1975 BMW R90S - $10,500
Second year of the Daytona winning R90S. This one has 20k original miles, original paint and tool kit. Pictures are low res but this bike looks incredible. For sale in Tracy CA on Craigslist.
1974 BMW R90/6 Sidecar Rig - $7,000
Seems cheap and to be well sorted with lots of rebuilt parts. From the ad, “Conversion by Perry Bushong (BMW of Ft. Worth). Licensed (as an antique motorcycle), inspected, insured and on the road. Clear title in hand. Comes with tonneau cover for the Ural sidecar, several spares, pump, tire repair kit, aftermarket toolkit, and service records. Sidecar modifications include a 32/10 final drive, R80 G/S bars, recalibrated speedo, Boyer ignition, sidecar yoke, single seat, and heavy duty fork springs and rear shocks. Starter rebuilt at 46K. 1978 BMW R 100 RS - $5,000
Second year of the RS but in first year paint color. This is a rider quality not show quality bike says the owner, paint is a little worn but heads have been refreshed by ted porter and comes with some extras including bags, SJ fork brace, and dual corbin seat. For sale in Denver on Craigslist.
GONE DIRT BIKING
Regularly scheduled content back in a few days.
1993 BMW R100GS - $2,500
Cheap GS bike. The older ones keep getting more valuable, this one is a little rougher around the edges but looks pretty complete other than the windscreen and a missing side mirror. Unclear from the ad if it just needs a valve adjustment or needs head work. For sale in Santa Cruz on Craigslist.
1980 BMW R100RT - $4,900
One of the best and last amazing paint jobs by BMW. A little rough around the edges but an unrestored classic and should be kept that way, and ridden. Low miles and recent maintenance make this one ready to ride across the country! For sale in Orange County on Craigslist.
2003 BMW F650GS Dakar 15k miles - $3,700
Low miles and lots of fun left. This was my first motorcycle (same model) and it was an amazing machine. Excellent fuel economy, light off-road capable, great wind protection and able to carry a passenger or luggage. These earlier models had the best paint scheme IMHO and easier to service valves, shim over bucket. For sale in the East Bay on Craigslist.
BMW R100GS 1989 - $8,700
GS price wars! This bike a few years ago would sell for around 4k but prices are up a little bit. I think the seller is asking a little too much but maybe there is room to negotiate. This one looks sorted and very clean. For sale in Mill Valley on Craigslist.
Just listed | 1983 BMW R100S - $5,700
Last edition but not quite the last airhead. Not sure what this edition meant to BMW at the time but it came in a great color and pinstripe set. Low miles and this one comes with a solo seat, luggage, crash bars, cover, and some other goodies. Appears to have the factory tire pump and tool kit which is always a plus. For sale in Oakland on Craigslist.
Super Clean & Original 1990 BMW R100RT - $5,800
This is the type of BMW you want to buy, 5k in dealer receipts in the last 12 years. Everything works as it should other than the volt meter. For sale in Santa Rosa on Craigslist.
Cheap Adventure | 2005 BMW r1200gs - $5300
Lots of goodies on this one making it even more ready for adventure riding. Touratech bags, lighter Remus exhaust, Sargent seat, Ohlins front/rear recently rebuilt. Sounds like a winner if you are looking for a long distance tourer with off road capability. Will need some dirtier tires. For sale in Redmond WA on Craigslist.
1983 BMW R100rs - $6,800
Lovely example of an RS. Alaska blue doesn’t pop up often so if this is something you have been looking for, contact the seller. 50k miles means it’s time for a valve job and he doesn’t mention that this has been done so I would think there is some wiggle room on the price as this price is on the higher end. For sale in San Rafael on Craigslist. Appears to come with a tank bag and full tool kit as well.
2007 BMW G650 xChallenge - $4,750
Low miles on this lightweight (for BMW’s) 650 Rotax. Their lightest dual sport and having owned one it felt great on and off road. They get excellent fuel economy and would need a small windscreen for touring. Looks to be mostly stock other than the mirrors which are a necessary upgrade. Other than that keep the shock pumped up and it’s a great machine. For sale in LA on Craigslist.
