All original Red BMW R65 fresh from 1980. Sat in a garage in Utah and brought back to life with a fresh tune up and tires. The R65 feels lighter than it's 1000cc big brothers and is a bit shorter as well. For sale in Culver City, CA.
1974 BMW R90S with free Patina - $5500
"Low" mileage matching numbers first year silver smoke BMW R90S. Missing some bit's like the fairing and the associated gauges as well as some hose clamps around the carbs. Probably needs a good tune up. Someone also painted the valve covers. Would be really fun the rip around as a city bike or restore to perfection. Let me know if you need a painter. Bike is in orange county on Craigslist.
1973 BMW Airhead R75/5 - $5000
Clean toaster in the bay area. Seller notes this bike has new heads and exhaust recently. Partially cafe'd with new seat and pod filters and looks like a battery relocation.
Pair of R69S BMW's 1966-7 in norcal
Restore or ride 1974 BMW R60/5 - $3500
Another /5 popped up for a good price! Looks like it's got some oxidation on the engine and needs a general clean up but has a clean title and is currently running. Has aftermarket higher bars on the bike but comes with original and seller notes it has a "condom" style fairing which I am interested in seeing. For sale in the Chicago area on Craigslist.
1982 MAICO 250 - Power Ranger Red
I love 80's dirt bikes. They look so ridiculous they're pieces of art, fit for your living room or man cave. This thing has tons of suspension travel, new plastics and looks mint. This Maico 250 is for sale in the Seattle area on Craigslist.
1988 BMW R100GS GS Paris Dakar - $5500
I've always been partial to BMW's. Especially the Paris Dakar models. I miss the race through Africa, hope it makes it back some day. Here is Bumble Bee PD, not a big fan of the paralever, prefer the classic monolever that had so many wins at Dakar but the later models got better forks and love the big gas tank and styling of this bike. 57k miles which means its time for heads and inspection of the driveshaft if they haven't been done and keep an eye out for rear main seal leaks. Other than that, thing thing is just breaking in. Looks to be cross posted from Medford Craigslist.
1973 BMW R75/5 Toaster, needs some polish
Granada red toaster for sale in the north bay area on Craigslist. Paint needs some polish as does the chrome. Seller notes it was just serviced before the last time it was ridden a couple of years ago. Comes with a giant fairing, put it in your rafters until they come back in style. The /5 bikes are the end of the classic bmw's in my opinion and will be highly collectible in the near future; just enough chrome and just enough technology to keep them on the road.
1975 BMW R90S Daytona Orange - $9500
The ad claims under 7000 miles but appears to be repainted so perhaps restored and reset to zero. Bags aren't period correct either, should have krausers. VERY clean example of an bmw r90s, one of it's most collectible bikes in my opinion due to it's racing heritage. For sale in Colorado Springs at a dealership.
1978 blue R100/7 faired and ready to ride cross country
Price is right on this vintage airhead. Clearly well taken care of(take a look at that engine case) and low miles for it's age. Great color, don't love the fairing though.
For sale in Colorado Springs on Craigslist for $3500.
1973 Green BMW R60/5
This green reminds me of a late 60's early 70's muscle car and I love it with the chrome tank. Kitted out with nice bags and rack for some serious touring, I'd drop the fairing because its just not my style but paint looks good all around and still low miles on this airhead. For sale in Michigan on Craigslist.
1969 BMW r75/2 swap
Practical vintage airhead for sale in the Dayton area on Craigslist. Semi popular swap as the /5 engines are just updated enough not to be difficult to maintain as the early BMW's didn't have oil filters and needed a teardown ever so often. Seems to come with some nice luggage and a rack, I'd probably leave the fairing in the garage. A little more pep and practicality for this airhead!
1973 BMW r75/5 blue toaster - Low miles
Seller claims to have 7,661 original miles on the bike but is actively riding it and they will go up! Comes with period correct Wixom bags and all electronics and mechanicals work great. For sale in the LA area on Craigslist.
1961 Maico 250 german Army bike
olive drab with leather panniers
Classic military machine with only 3600 kilometers on it. Unrestored and seller says it runs great. Maico has been around forever and has pedigree in the racing motocross and the enduro scene. For sale at Blue Moon Cycle in Georgia for $4700.
Maico racing the ISDT, probably on this bike.
SOLD: Restored Dover White BMW r50/2
Coming out of dry storage for 30 years this low mile R50/2 had a complete restoration in the early 80's. Said to have gotten a full engine and tranny rebuild with genuine BMW parts with only a couple of thousand miles since the rebuild. Has been started regularly and has had oil changes but needs tires and a tune up to be ready to ride. Seems like a really nice example of a vintage bimmer that needs a new home. Offered for sale in the Chicago area on Craigslist for $10k.
Bonus trailer that needs running gear?
BMW Polizei R90/6
Up for grabs is a extremely clean German Police bike restored in Texas 10 year ago at a reputable shop. Mileage is unknown but seems to be accurate. It's common to reset the odometer to zero after a restoration. Never seen this shade of green on an airhead and we like it! Reminds me of the glory days of the Gumball 3000 and Alex Roys Polizei car getting a police escort during the race. Available at European Cycle sports in Plano Texas.
1935 NSU 501 OSL with Stoye sidecar
I'll race ya to Riedlingen
Beautifully restored '35 NSU 501 with period correct Stoye sidecar. Offered up for $19,500. Great price for a pre war german thumper. Just take a look at those pipes! Available at Blue Moon Cycle in Georgia.
Budget BMW R90S with period correct upgrades
Silver smoke R90s for sale with some nice period correct Lester mag wheels. Famous for it's 1-2 finish at the first ever AMA superbike race. Seems to be a 75-76 as it's missing the kickstart of 1974. Check it on craigslist here. Looks to have some incorrect pin stripes but to each his own.
