Bike appears to be in great original paint condition. From the seller, BMW R60/5, short wheelbase, numbers matching, 52700 miles, good condition. Rebuilt and synchronized carbs, recent timing and valve adjustment. New timing chain, control cables, battery, some gaskets, rear shocks, rubber parts, seat cover, petcocks. Starts and runs well. Paint is original, no dents or scrapes to fenders, tank or side covers. Tires are good. Includes original user manual. $5,500 For sale in Denver on Craigslist.
The bike started out as a bone stock R100R, but I have since put an R100GS front end on it. I also switched out the tank and seat with with R100GS tank and seat, as the originals were in terrible shape. The bike has a WP rear shock on it now that handles nicely. The front brake has also been upgraded with a later model bmw caliper and stainless line. Included with the sale are matching bags, a stock GS rear shock, and some spare parts. The bike has 32k miles, and I purchased it from the original owner. It needs new tires, and new fluids, but the bike runs and rides as is. For sale in Portland on Craigslist.
1978 BMW r100rs - $7,800
One of the best colors on the RS body in my opinion. Repaint and missing the pinstripes but that is a simple fix, just have to find the right person. Higher mileage but engine has had extensive work done to it and it runs like a top. Has some shop wear as it sat in a shop for a number of years. For sale in Seattle area on Craigslist.
1979 BMW R100RT - $5,500
Low miles on this early RT. Love the Red and white paint on these early bikes. Best head shape in the airhead game and big carbs made for big horsepower before the switch to smaller carbs and exhaust. Come with clean panniers, inner liners, aftermarket seat and a clean title. For sale in Santa Cruz on Craigslist.
BMW--1981 R100RT - $4,200
Does not look like a 9/10 like the seller states, needs a good wash and has some paint imperfections, but is low miles for an airhead. That being said this is one of the most complex and expensive BMW paint jobs and it looks the part. Red smoke was a tribute to the R90S paint jobs and it looks just as good. Why is this bike covered in boxes? For sale in Ohio on Craigslist.
1977 BMW R100RS - $7,900
First year, somewhat restored R100RS. When this came to the US they were quite powerful. The EPA choked them up in later years. Big carbs and big valves help these along. Partially repainted and pinstriped as well. For sale in Dallas on Craigslist.
Classic BMW SideCar R90/6 - $6,950
Less than 100k miles but has been well maintained says the owner who states it recently received a new clutch. The bike has a paint matched side car but no mention of the brand. For sale in Austin on Craigslist.
1986 BMW R80 - $7,000
R80 monolever optioned with the S fairing. Comes with bags and one of the lower mileage bikes I’ve seen. For sale in Milwaukee on Craigslist. This bike appears to be in good company, possibly a collector.
Restored 1974 BMW R60/6 - $11,995
Almost looks like a /2 throwback with their cool colors back then. Lotta coin but the motor looks like you could eat off of it. For sale in Orange County on Craigslist. I don’t think it’s worth asking as it’s not the top spec for the day and restored but a restomod so loss of value their.
1987 BMW K75S K 75 S - $2,200
Cheap and clean the early ones dont have the failure prone ABS issues and have stronger splines from what I’ve read. This one has a YSS shock. This one is in Chico and has been for sale for a while on Craigslist.
2009 BMW 650G X Country - $4,000
I always wanted to try one of these, a less extreme version of the x-challenge which I did have without the problem prone air shock. Low miles for the Rotax 650 and way lighter than the “new” Sertao copy of the old f650gs that BMW has put out. For sale in Vacaville on Craigslist.
BMW 1972 R75/5 - $5,000
1 owner the last 40 years. Comes with a panner rack and bags as well as a brown sidestand (a nice upgrade) an full factory tool kit and tire pump. For sale in Oakland on Craigslist.
Seems Cheap | BMW R60 w/ Sidecar - $8,900
Low miles running /2 with nice Steib sidecar and Meier touring tank. Paint looks faded but looks complete and like a fun rig! Seems cheap but need a few things like the speedo rebuilt. For sale in the South Bay on Craigslist.
1976 BMW R90/6 - $5,100
90/6 in S trim and r90s paint scheme. Low miles but would want to do a title search to make sure it’s not 120k instead of 20k. Come with some extras, later style BMW panniers, and new rear tire. For sale in Yakima on Craigslist.
Another 1990 BMW K1 - $6,500
11k miles on this very clean K1, a technological powerhouse in design and aerodynamics because it was horsepower limited by the factory because of regulations. For sale in Chicago on Craigslist.
1978 BMW R80/7 - $3,950
S fairing added (perhaps at the dealer) and perfect paint and pinstripes. Bike comes with Krauser bags, looks like aftermarket pipes and a more comfortable aftermarket seat. Looks nice for the money but paint is likely not original. For sale in Seattle area on Craigslist.
BMW K1 1991 restored classic superbike - $6,000
Superbike is a stretch but this one is externally perfect as the owner had new panels and graphic kit painted and installed. Very hard to find parts and a future classic as this bike is straight out of TRON. For sale in Fairfax on Craigslist.
1983 BMW R80ST adv build - $8,000
All the right parts on this one. Seems to be a very thoughtful build for an overland/adventure bike. Has a rare rear end that is good for touring and comes with a rebuilt transmission that has not been installed. Charging system has been upgraded, forks, shock, wheels etc all upgraded. For sale in Alameda on Craigslist.
