Flat Track Friday: 1965 Triumph and 1979 Honda 500

The Honda is a Redline frame with a aircooled 500cc thumper which was recently rebuilt. Good for the short course, owned by a retired expert district 36 racer. For sale in the south bay area on Craigslist.

The Triumph has some racing history which the seller asks you to contact him about. Fresh motor but missing a few bits so the price is right at $3k. For sale in Santa Barbara on Craigslist.

1972 Kawasaki 750 H2 - $8500

Vintage racer, these things would do 12 seconds flat in the quarter mile stock. Famously hard to handle with too much motor and not enough suspension and brakes. Paint looks great and correct but seller doesn't mention little parts that need to be sorted for %100 resto. For sale in the Chicago area on Craigslist.

Another one popped up in Torrance, Ca for almost twice as much money. Also restored; on Craigslist.

Cheap clean 1972 Norton Commando - $6000

Unique color(reminds me of Bianchi celeste) and Corbin cafe style seat on this 72' Commando. Has receipts for 5k engine rebuild in 2010 but bike has 28k miles on it. Carbs are sorted and rubber looks pretty fresh. Cool collectible cafe bike! For sale in Snohomish Washington on Craigslist.

If you don't like the color, there is a nice black on chrome Norton for sale in the Chicago area.

1988 BMW R100GS GS Paris Dakar - $5500

I've always been partial to BMW's. Especially the Paris Dakar models. I miss the race through Africa, hope it makes it back some day. Here is Bumble Bee PD, not a big fan of the paralever, prefer the classic monolever that had so many wins at Dakar but the later models got better forks and love the big gas tank and styling of this bike. 57k miles which means its time for heads and inspection of the driveshaft if they haven't been done and keep an eye out for rear main seal leaks.  Other than that, thing thing is just breaking in. Looks to be cross posted from Medford Craigslist.

1973 BMW R75/5 Toaster, needs some polish

Granada red toaster for sale in the north bay area on Craigslist. Paint needs some polish as does the chrome. Seller notes it was just serviced before the last time it was ridden a couple of years ago. Comes with a giant fairing, put it in your rafters until they come back in style. The /5 bikes are the end of the classic bmw's in my opinion and will be highly collectible in the near future; just enough chrome and just enough technology to keep them on the road.
