1982 SUZUKI KATANA GS1000SZ - $13,500
17k miles and extremely clean air cooled 1000 from Suzuki. From the ad, This GS1000SZ Katana is particularly special since it was a single-year, limited release bike produced for race homologation purposes. From the factory, it featured a performance inlet camshaft, four round-slide Mikuni VM32SS carburetors (restored by Jack at Old School Carbs in San Jose, CA), and an 18-inch rear wheel which allowed for a wider range of race rubber for the track. This makes this machine especially rare when considering that even the more common base model 1100cc left many international markets including the USA’s after only 2 years of production.
