1978 BMW R100S - $4,500

Just posted, this was the top dog when it came to power in the airheads, these have the best head casting design and made the most power of any airhead motor. There are some maintenance records in the post and some other bits that come with the bike like a new front bikini fairing but it’s unpainted. No mention of the original tool kit!? For sale in Oakland on Craigslist.

1971 BMW R60/5 - $6,300

Lovely toaster just popped up in the peninsula on Craigslist. From the ad, This beautiful R60/5 is in great running condition and has gone through recent maintenance to make sure it’s a reliable rider. Had the carbs cleaned and assembled with new gaskets, new plugs, valve adjustment, driveshaft checked and greased, all fluids changed, brakes checked and adjusted, and fresh tires put on. Has a nice toaster tank that comes with a bra to protect the paint and finish. Starts with electric starter and kick starter. Light control switches on the handlebars are a little finicky and will need some work but that’s about the only con. Frame and rear fender were painted a couple years ago and the engine had a rebuild about 10,000 miles ago.

1978 BMW R100RS - $6,000

High miles but lots of maintenance on this one. Engine has re-machined heads, new cylinders, new pistons, new lifters, relatively new camshaft. Front and rear brake calipers have been rebuilt with new pistons and pads. Brake lines have all been replaced with steel braided cable. Front and rear brake master cylinders have both been rebuilt. Beautiful repaint but missing the pinstripes. For sale in Seattle area on Craigslist.
